Frequently asked questions
Do candidates pay any placement fees to Eleonas?
- No. All recruitment and placement costs are employer-sponsored. Candidates are not billed a placement fee.
How does the immigration process work for foreign-educated candidates?
- If a candidate does not already have work authorization, Eleonas coordinates with in-house counsel to manage visa or petition filings, with employer sponsorship support when needed.
Are licensing costs covered?
- In most cases, employers sponsor or reimburse licensing costs. Coverage varies by facility and candidate, and certain criteria may apply.
Are family members eligible to accompany the healthcare professional?
- Yes. Immediate family members — specifically a spouse and dependent children — are eligible to accompany the professional under dependent visa categories. Parents, siblings, or extended relatives are not permitted under these visa provisions. Eleonas provides guidance and coordinates with counsel to support family relocation when applicable.
What relocation support is available?
- Relocation benefits such as travel, arrival coordination, temporary housing, and hospital support are provided when included in the employee’s compensation package. These benefits vary by facility and candidate.
Is licensing and exam support provided for all positions?
- Yes. Eleonas and employer partners provide guidance and support for licensing and exam requirements across all positions — including RNs, NPs, CRNAs, and physicians. This may include exam preparation resources, fee sponsorship or reimbursement, and coordination with state boards of nursing and medical licensing authorities.
What is the average starting pay for RNs, CRNAs, NPs, and physicians?
- According to Salary.com (2026 data): Registered Nurses (RNs) $92,100 annually (range $83,700–$102,000); Nurse Practitioners (NPs) $133,800 annually (range $123,300–$146,700); Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) $195,300 annually (range $83,200–$307,300); physicians typically $200,000–$300,000+ annually, depending on specialty and employer. All placements are subject to prevailing wage protections under U.S. labor law, so foreign-educated healthcare professionals are paid at or above the government-mandated wage levels for their role and location, protecting both the candidate and the domestic workforce.
